Has anyone been to France recently and bought any Le Crueset items? If so how much cheaper are they than in the U.K please?
Also does anyone know how much I would be looking at paying for a Le Crueset Frying pan in France please.
Thanks.

Depends on the size and whether they're cast iron or non-stick. What you're looking for are "poele" or "sauteuse" in French. Having had a look at the amazon.fr site it seems the prices vary from 92 euros upwards depending on size and that doesn't necessarily seem much of a saving compared to the UK site.0

Have you tried tkmaxx? All of my le creseut stuff came from there and it was much much cheaper than it is normally. I bought a Denby dinner service in there too a few months ago. Worth a look, even if it is irritatingly untidy.:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0

I have a Le Creuset frying pan. I never use it as i can't lift it without using two hands. Waste of money really although i didn't pay for it, it was a gift.0

my le creuset frying pan is the same...utter rubbish!...and the cast iron bit of it is peeling away despite coating it with oil!...le creuset wont honour the guarantee saying its wear and tear...wouldnt mind, but I've only used it about 20 times!Give blood - its free0

There are price comparison sites in France as there are in the UK - Kelkoo is one of them.

We have a Le Creuset casserole (NB not frying pan) and bought that in France as we live here.
I'd say it's no cheaper in France than in the UK in normal shops, but if you go to an outlet store at a Bicester-style facility (Marques Avenue is one such place) you can get good discounts.0 -
I love my le creuset griddle pan (not frying pan)! Although an actual pig to clean!
Regarding prices, i got mine for £25 off ebay and it hadn't been used!Mortgage 1: May 2012 £90,000 April 2020: £47,000
Mortgage 2: £270,000😱 Jan 2019 £253,000 April 20200 -
Do you have a factory shop near you?
I bought a lot of mine from the Swindon and Portsmouth factory shops.
Also, some from Debenhams during their events when they usually discount them by 20%.
I have had some of mine for over 10 years - wish I'd bought them sooner but always thought they were too expensive - I absolutely love them and have had no problems at all.
My friend has had some of her cast iron casserole pots for over 30 years and they are still going strong...:hello:0 -

Cast iron pans don't get "cleaned"! They need to be proprely seasoned and then wiped with a bit of kitchen paper after use. Or given a rinse in boiling water and then dried. You need to keep that patina of seasoned oil on it. No soap. No scourers. Ever.0
