Thought I would try to find a definite answer to the different pin numbers question and came across this article which specifically states that Santander will not cover fraud on cards with the same pin number. So best to have different ones to be safe.

So not on any literature on the Santander website, but rather an article in a newspaper not controlled by any bank and could pretty much say anything.

Regardless, how would Santander know that my Santander credit card shares the same PIN as my Barclaycard, for example? They can't exactly look up my creditors on my credit report and send a request to them all for my PIN to see if its the same, can they?
