Hi, there were a couple in my local, priced at a bit more than that but they all seemed to be slightly damaged. So, good value but check them over first.

mmm...I hope these remarks are a little tongue-in-cheek. Some people are not as well off as others, and a cheaper wedding dress with some faults doesn't make them not worthy to marry. This is a moneysaving site, no need to be snoobish please.

If you marry someone is based on where they get their dress from

TK Max can offer superb quality and should not be dismissed. It takes time to go through their offerings but amazing savings can be had. My daughter sported a superb Napapijri ski jacket to school for £15 this winter thanks to a bit of luck in their store.

Only last week I was in the local branch when my wife and I spotted £600, quality wedding dresses for a fraction of the cost.

If you are lucky and find your size then drastic moneysaving to be had at an expensive time. All opportunities to save should be taken, which of course is what this site is all about.

With our wedding in the near future, we tried a dress off ebay (from China) for 40 quid, plus 62 postage. It's now arrived (3-4 weeks later), and I'm reliably told it is absolutely stunning and only needs slight alterations (due to my lack of skill in the measuring when we ordered the dress - it was custom made for her).

It was a gamble, but plenty of reading up on the seller on other forums, and the promise that if it turned up and wasn't suitable we'd go straight to a proper boutique to order, made it seem worthwhile given the others that were in the frame were 800+.

So savings can be had :)
