Cryptic Crossword Help Please (SOLVED)

A big thanks to you all again for all the tips and to Fire**fly for the answer. :T I had a quick look at it again last night after you all explained and managed to solve a couple of the clues but its still way too hard!
I will have a look in the Sun LittleMax, my other half buys the paper. I was telling him this morning about the crossword and he said he used to do them in the Sun years ago, so I shoved the mag in front of him and asked him if he could do some of the puzzle whilst he was watching the F1 qualifying so I could see how the answers are worked out and 4 hours later he hasn’t done a single answer! :rotfl:
Thanks Blu for your kind words and the offer. As soon as another one comes up I will let you all know

My heads a bit battered after the puzzles so I will post them up later this evening after I have caught up with my comping.

Thank you so much for offering to send the answers that's very kind of you, don't worry about sending them, I trust your answer 100%. On all your mag answers now and in the past, I never knew you to make a mistake, unlike me!
:rotfl:
I see what you mean now, its a strange one, when someone says the answer it clicks, but when I read the clue myself, its still a bit gobbledygook! On the plus side I did manage to solve a whole 2 clues though, I guess its a start! :rotfl:
I’m determined to master them though, I hate being defeated! I see in this issue there was something called a Sudoku X, I've never heard of them before and I couldn’t get going on that either but I was too embarrassed to ask on here as I hadn’t even attempted it, thankfully I found a solver on the internet so hopefully its the right answer.
I just hope they don’t keep cropping up all the time, otherwise I will have to try and find someone else to take on the mag and I know there was a bit of a shortage of hands up when Melvis asked.
Thanks again for taking the time to help, its much appreciated. :A0 -

Hi,Alison18.
We have such a great skill base on here I would not worry re getting any answers.
I've been caught out before on sports questions, especially football & cricket ones.I'm a pure dunce on these & google often confuses me more.
I'm now in the habit of asking for help from the off & it usually arrives quickly & in heaps.
Thanks for your efforts & keep at it for us.

Alison18, just wanted to say thanks for all your effort and your comps
I never feel hitting thanks is enough in the threads
We should have a 'Wow, this deserves a mega thanks for the effort' button
Anyway, that's all (and thanks to all those who helped you) and I'm really useless at any crosswords. Really useless, I get stuck on three letter words that are obvious to a 6 year old.UEFA: Corrupting Football Since 1954 #CTID0
