Yodel are absolutely rubbish. Had loads of problems getting a Virgin Media super hub delivered.

My mum waited in all day for a parcel the first day they were meant to deliver. Nobody knocked (we have a dog that barks if someone even thinks about knocking on the door). Second attempt, we were out. No criticism of them for that one. Third attempt, again, nobody knocked. We were both in all day. They delivered a card but definitely didn't knock.

I then had to go to the depot. Their website is rubbish and doesn't really give much information about where the depot is located. My local depot is on a really long industrial road. I went up and down it about three times and couldn't find it anywhere. I went back a few days later, asked someone and found it at the end of the road. They'd sent it back to Virgin Media after five days. I can't really criticise Yodel for my not finding it other than that their website is pants and there's not really any directions or a map, just a number to call which then lets you know where your local depot is.

Rang up VM to complain as we kept getting messages from them saying if we don't activate the super hub soon they'd charge us. Would help if the cretins could deliver it!!

Anyway they offered to send it again. This time they delivered it to the wrong address (no. 12 - we live at no. 8), but when I went around to no. 12 they said they hadn't had a delivery and they'd never heard of the person who allegedly signed for it. I've no reason to doubt them.

Rang VM up and said Yodel are crap, can you not send it with Royal Mail or Parcel Force. They said no, only Yodel. Sent it again and they FINALLY delivered it. Hopefully Yodel will give the guy that did deliver it more shifts

I think part of the problem is that they outsource their deliveries to private couriers. There's lots of stories on the net about the couriers parking their cars around the corner from the house so the recipient doesn't realise they're not in a van. I don't know if it's supposed to be a secret but it's in Yodel's T&C's.
