Yodel

The driver from Yodel carrying a cardboard parcel in the shape of a book and the size of a book stepped out of his van today, and walking through about half a foot of snow, with more snow falling heavily - Decided that because I wasn't in, the best place to leave the book was not with the neighbor. No, that would make too much sense. Instead, he would leave the package propped up against my door step, planted in the snow.

Suffice to say the book is completely ruined.

What a nugget.

Very poor service, though driver did not know it was a book, did he?

I don't think my neighbour has left her house this year, probably not even the last year.

Fair enough about the driver knowing it was a book or not - But surely he knew that cardboard absorbs water :/

He may well not have known it was a book, but equally he wouldn't have known if it was a netbook, tablet or other similar electronic item of the sort that doesn't like water.

They decided not to bother delivering my parcel last Saturday, so put "On holiday" on their records. I waited in all day. No one will tell me why. Pathetic company.
  • Yodel are awful - I had a phone out for delievery and when i rung up they said it was back in store because the driver was on a half day

Yodel are more than useless, they never deliver on time (if at all) and when they do they say you're out (when that's not the case)

I'd happily pay extra to not use them
  • I personally had a terrible experience with this delivery company at Christmas 2011 and ever since I always research which delivery company the seller is using - if it's Yodel I don't buy from them - simply not worth the stress.
  • They left my new Virgin Media Super hub (modem/router) leaning up against the front door in the snow - not once but twice! It was not only the fact that the box was a soggy mess by the time I got home but that I live in a terraced house and the front door is 3 feet from the pavement and on full view. How it was still there I'll never know.

The third time Royal Mail brought it and left it with my neighbour.
