I lost mine a month ago and i've stayed in WRAG despite being housebound and classified as not currently fit for work, and my 12 months of contributions-based entitlement to ESA is up this month. Sadly for us that means bankruptcy in the next few months. My partner works fulltime on a low income, but just above the threshold for any other benefits, and we can no longer sustain our mortgage/debt repayments now we've lost one third of our income.
What were you doing before ESA started? Incapacity Benefit or working? When did you start claiming ESA and when did you finish work?0 -
fedup.com. I know. Been there with the lass. Hopefully you'll get enough respite before the next ESA50 comes through the door.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

At last I have a tribunal date for the end of June. They've also switched the venue from my GP's to my home which is a relief so I should be able to get through it without getting over anxious and cutting it short.
My WRAG award ends in December though. Has anyone been reassessed yet on their anniversay date or is the system so bogged down that it's delayed? The thought of going through the process again in 6 months time is just more stress and worry. To be honest it's been like a constant nightmare.0 -
I had my appeal this morning at my home and won so will now be in the support group. I found it very harrowing going over things and answering their questions but they were very kind and considerate about my situation so although I was very anxious and upset at times they were very professional in the way they did things and enabled me to keep a grip.
They were very thorough, asking about pretty much everything I had written in my form plus some other things, but what I wrote and told them is the truth so all went well and I didn't feel caught out by anything.
I'm still feeling stressed out as I did find it an ordeal but calming down a bit now.
Anyway, it's such a relief that I won't have to attend WFI's at the Jobcentre so I now have a few months to recover before the end of my two year award and probably have to start the process all over again.0
