New bank account for husband to use for matched betting to save confusion.

Hi
I want to open a new bank account as my husband is now doing matched betting and I'd rather open a seperate account for him to do this as it gets confusing in our current account with all the bet amounts coming in and out. We have no bad credit so we are ok in them terms. So I have seen the Alliance and Leicester accounts get £50 cash back with quidco and I've seen the £500 per mth criteria which is fine as I'll set up a standing order in and out again from our other account. What I'm asking is do any of you know which account is best to open? The A&L current or premier account?
Also quidco says for this transaction we should clear our cookies to make sure it tracks. How do I do this?
Thanks

Why not just open a second account with the same bank as now?
Transfers between accounts should be instant in case of need.
Transfers between banks need 2 to 3 days.0 -
I have accounts with the Co-op and smile. Same bank therefore instant transfers. However, because I have two debit cards, there are certain bookies which don't pick up on this and as a result enable you to get their offer twice.Ethical moneysaver0

I opened an account for matched betting with A & L.
I got the introductory offer, but in hindsight the main benefit is the 12 month interest free overdraft.
I don't wish to speak on behalf of others but what I have found is that match betting is not about making money and using it straight away, but you actually need to keep building a fund in order to move onto other deals.
For this reason, cashflow is very important and some thing that I learned through experience rather than picked up on straight away.
Having funds in BF is important to take advantage of deals and you could find that you have won at a bookies tying up funds that you would prefer to have in other places.
If somebody (A & L ) is funding your bankroll for the first 12 months, then good for them.
The other argument is that you will eventually move onto bookies with non sterling currencies.
As I understand things, Nationwide is a good DC to have for this to avoid or reduce costs. I cannot speak from experience here though, so do your home work.
It sounds as though you have made your mind up on A & L, but for others, watch out if you use Mastercard for paying into bookies as there can be problems with withdrawing.
Matched Betting can be an emotive subject. I and many others have found it lucrative, although I have taken none of my profits to date.
If you wish to try it make sure you read and fully understand the instructions on the forum.0 -

Hi Mae,
As far as which of the two accounts it is best for you to open goes it really depends on what incentives appeal to you most- you can get a 12% regular saver with the Premier Account so if you've got savings money it might be worth using that. With the Premier Direct account you get a 6.5% rate of interest on the first £2,500 in the account so if you're going to have a good bit of money sitting in the account at any one time then that's a good option. Also, as MisterNick says, there is a good 0% overdraft for the first 12 months with both accounts. Also quidco says for this transaction we should clear our cookies to make sure it tracks. For IE7 click on "Tools" then "Internet Options" then "Delete" under browsing history and the "Delete cookies." And yes this is important as quite a few people have had tracking problems with the A&L accounts so it's best to clear your cookies to make sure.
