I'm staggered by those results. Both myself and my husband wear our rings all the time as a symbol of our marriage. He certainly doesn't fit the stereotypes described.

These stats are totally incorrect. This is never true!

If you read the questions they asked, they have managed to stretch the answers given to create this ridiculous headline.

Genuine question. Why don't you wear it at work? :o

Depends what you do. I work in construction and take mine off when I'm visiting site. Catch it on something and you can easily lose a finger.

The husband's employer says not rings or earrings in case of injury. Some where it anyways but if there is an injury involving these items, workers compensation will not pay the claim.

I'm a nurse and my health authority has asked that only smooth rings be worn. My band has cutwork and the diamons are gypsy set. Infection control has also banned nailpolish and artificial nails.

I could be a rebel and wear it but it's not worth the flack or the chances of bringing home some nasty bugs. The hand sanitizer also gunges in the claws according to some coworkers

When I worked as a nurse wedding rings were allowed, with no mention of type(and mine wasn't coming off for anyone) although to me diamonds would be more for the engagement ring. :o What is gypsy set? No nail vanish or artificail nails and only stud earrings allowed.

Many don't wear them because they've put weight on and they don't fit any longer. They don't want to expense of making them bigger so don't wear them.
