But
That size may not be big enough for a family. Mine, at your size just for me, makes me a couple of good sized meals and one for the freezer. No doubt other users will be able to tell you how many meals they typically get out of their cooker. Of course - it does depend if you're doing the whole meal or just one part of it.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Lille - looks OK, but you won't be able to cook chickens (unless v small) or legs of lamb in it. You could try having a look round car boot sales, a few people have come across some real gems for next to nothing.0

There's only me and my 12 yr old to feed most of the time and I wouldn't be without my big 6.5 litre one to be honest. I can fit a large 2kg chicken in it easily, as well as extra veg if necessary, a whole leg of lamb, large joints of meat, and when I do chilli, bolognese, stews, casseroles etc I can cook enough to freeze for extra meals."An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"
