Lloyds TSB - Mortgage Account Disappeared

My online bank account showed my Cheltenham & Gloucester Mortgage summary up until a few days ago, now it's no longer linked. What has happened there then? Anyone else have a similar thing happen? I remember a maintenance message about a week ago, but it just said certain services would be unavailable for a short time.

Have you tried ringing Lloyds TSB and asking them if there aware of the problem?

It maybe quicker to call them as you'll have to wait here until someone with a mortgage similar to yours checks there online banking and then calls Lloyds TSB to find out the answer and then post the reply on here.

Which could take quite a number of hours.

Also isn't Cheltenham & Gloucester part of the Lloyds Verde sell off, so they could be separating the systems ready for when the TSB brand takes over.

It's quite strange. It had only been visible for a couple of weeks anyway. I was quite impressed that I could see it linked to my bank account, but it didn't last long ;-)

I've emailed them.

I get the impression from this forum that Lloyds banking group hasn't a clue when it comes to internet banking. Things change from one day to the next without anybody knowing what's going. on.

could it be that Lloyds are getting ready for the separation of the brands? C&G is due to be sold the end of the year (if I recall as part of the eu mandated Lloyds sell off) so will have to be starting preparation systems wise etc?

Ive just checked my C&G mortgage. Its still there on the LTSB site all right. My branch is not amongst those being sold to Coop though.

It's very strange. I didn't ever apply for the C&G mortgage to appear on my online account. It just appeared there on 1st March, then was removed again about 3 weeks later. No explanation, no warning, nothing. It was very handy to have there, but sadly it seems it's no longer possible.

mine has disappeared at some point today - it was there this morning now it's gone. Anyone else had similar issue today?

Hi, same problem and I have been able to access my mortgagedetails online for years. It disappeared about 2 weeks back with no warning. I have called Lloyds internet banking twice, they explained that due to C&G maintenance projects the servcie will be unavailable, they could not tell me when it will be fixed or offer an alternative, other than calling them for the information. The tel for C&Gmortgages is 0845 603 1637, although when calling them I was met with a recorded message that it could take 15 minutes to answer the call due to the high demand – what a surprise they have a high demand!


So not only have the removed the web service, they can’t tell me when its due back and they expect you hang on the phone for quarter of hour – says it all really!

Makes you think of the lack of management foresight that went into not arranging extra call handlers whilst the web service is down.
