Topcashback suspended my account with no reason whatsoever.

A few days back, I tried logging in, however, the website kept informing me that the details I've input are incorrect. I tried the password reset option then, which too "failed".

I contacted TCB with regards to this, and an individual named Carl responded:

"Hi there,

Thank you for your message,

I’m sorry to hear that you have been experiencing difficulties in logging in to your account. Although after having looked into the underlying problem with this, it does appear that this is something we could very much use your help with.

Namely, it does appear that the Top CashBack account in question has been terminated by our system, which does indicate that there may be evidence to suggest that our Terms and Conditions have been breached.

Are you able to please explain as to what you believe might be the problem here, so we know where to focus our efforts?

Thank you,

Kind Regards,

Top CashBack Support"

Is this some joke? They don't even know why they have suspended my account and are asking me to tell them?

I have quite a bit of cashback tracked on the account, and I have not breached any terms and conditions as far as I'm aware (I've read through them all!) - then why have they suspended it without reason.

I have sent them an email explaining them of this fact and I receive a sort of "generic" response from him stating that it's done by the system automatically when it thinks something is fishy. We have to look after the interests of our members and merchants, as people do abuse the system and the cashback offers. Whenever we feel this has been the case, we have to be pro active and suspend accounts.

I mean, are they serious? There are no abuse of cashback offers on my account.

So, is this some strategy for them to not pay out my cashback? Any advice, people?

Joining up to a gambling website in someone else's name (partner maybe) is a trigger.

Could be anything really. Just use another cash back site until it's resolved.

Well, they've already suspended the account and it seems like they're not going to investigate it further.

Seems very suspicious to me, considering there was over £300+ confirmed cashback in the account.

Any advice on what my next action should be?

Only advice I can give you is if you continue using any cashback sites - withdraw your balance as soon as it is available. That way you won't be losing 100s again.

Not much really and after reading your previous thread regarding greasypalm I have no idea why you didn't withdraw the balance pronto.

Were all the good purchased by you delivered to your home address using your card details?...i.e nothing at all to do with your brother. It all looks rather confusing. You should never share accounts.

That makes interesting reading. Op you seem to have very large amounts in both accounts over £700 still due to be paid combined & over £500 already paid from what I can make out in the other thread that's now over £1200. Having constantly used cashback sites for 2 years & having also moved and furnished a flat from scratch I think mines £238 (which I withdrew the second any credits appeared). I think you must have been using them in a very unusual way to get that much!

The GreasyPalm account has been sorted. It was a mistake by them, and they have re-instated the account. So that has nothing to do with it.

I have received an apology from them with regards to this, so all is good with them!

It's just that I've been using TCB for a long time. Cashback has accumulated over time. Mobile contracts, insurances, sky and etc. All pay quite a lot and hence the large cashback pool.

Have faith, all is genuine. I've read the T&C's and everything seems to be fine.

I've read elsewhere about my issue too, and it seems that I'm not the only one.

You must have done something, I'm sure they would'nt lock you out for no reason.

Anyway, I hope you are able to resolve it.
