    I'm not sure what more the OP wants.

    The other thread revealed that (a) the figures were fairly expensive for a car that wasn't even new, (b) that they probably didn't add up to 4.9% APR (more likely 4.9% flat, which is about twice as much), and (c) that better deals were available on new cars - though the Mini remains bafflingly expensive to certain posters.
  • No comment about finance rates, not of any interest (no pun intended) to me.

    The most important thing is not to own one of these vastly overrated vehicles without a cast iron makers warranty, repair costs out of warranty could see the finance decision pale into insignificance.

    It's not that I didn't like the advice (there was nothing not to like) I was just hoping to canvass opinion from those that had actually had a second hand mini (thank you blt) and so thought the motoring forum might be more appropriate.
