Car Batteries online?

Anyone know of a web retailer of cheap car batteries?

Something similar to blackcircles.com is what I had in mind.

Failing that, who's the cheapest high street retailer for batteries?

  • I got a branded (Varta) battery from a chap in Watford (I think) via eBay a while ago. Cheapest price all around, even including the carriage. Brand new, no probs, and he had all sorts. Might be worth a look; there were other professional sellers on there as well.

    Don't forget:

Look for "motor factors" in local phone book & yellow pages.-

Have a ring round quoting your best price thus far.

(Avoid Kwik Fit, Halfords, etc.......they're NOT motor factors).

    Look at Tayna.co.uk

They also advertise on ebay from time to time.

Significantly cheaper than Halfords for the equivalent battery, even when you have paid for delivery. I got an email a couple of days ago saying they had a sale on during May too.

    You could try https://www.batmanuk.com

I've not bought batteries from them, but they were the cheapest around for Webasto heaters when I was looking, and good service.

It hurts me to say this, but it might still be worth checking out Halfords. I've just needed a new battery for an unusual old banger, and none of the local factors had one in stock. Those that could get them quoted prices no more than £5 cheaper than Halfords, but Halfords had them sitting in stock.
