Easter cards

I would not send anymore cards.
I would call on Easter day and enquire as to how everyone's Easter was (even if you don't give a toss), and if they mention anything about not receiving a card, you could always just say you thought a phone call would be more considerate?
Swapping money is insane. My OH's family do this with each other and I don't understand it at all.
Hope you don't stress yourself out too much over this.

Confirmed what they have always said about me. I just find the constant exchange of cheques exhausting. I speak about once a month as that is all I can bear. But my husband and I both agree it is important our children see them a couple of times a year so they know who they are.
I'm not sure that is necessary. You have a toxic relationship with parents who don't care about you, who upset you, and who you can't bear to see or talk to. You're locked into a horrible cycle of faux-relationship which you find exhausting. What are your children going to get out of seeing them? Why not walk away for a while, for the good of your happiness, and see what they do?0
