Upgrade phone gone faulty..

Hi, got a new upgrade phone on March 5th and today it has developed a line on the screen. I called Orange and they advised that as it is over 14 days I am not entitled to a new replacement phone but I have to take it into the store and it will be sent away for repair.
This seems unfair but I just wondered what you guys thought before I go into the store tomorrow?
Thnks in advance

You have 14 days from when you purchased the phone to cancel and return the phone.
You have 28 days from when you purchased the phone to get an exchange if the phone develops a fault. (this applies to you)
After 28 days you have to send the phone away for repair as per their agreement. They will either repair or replace the phone depending on the fault.0 -

Just out of curiosity, where did you buy the upgrade from? Store or on the phone?
If on the phone then the store will not be able to help you and it's a wasted trip. You'd have to speak to customer service again and get them to exchange the phone.0
