I was thinking about this as I was making breakfast and decided that it was probably to do with stability testing
- they will have tested that x% of the active is still present after e.g. 4 years of storage - so the date will reflect that.
In terms of them not getting more potent/ toxic. I think I disagree here - not that I have specific evidence, but things will degrade and could well form something not nice - or at least something which hasn't had all the safety tests done on it so no-one knows.
I was thinking that the inert base of creams could decompose/ oxidise leaving the active ingredient in a higher strength.
It is a lot better this morning. All the red blotches have returned to skin colour and are half the size they were.

OH just texted me, "are you alive?"
Full of sympathy, he is.
Hope you replied, "no"....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

A piggy/main meal fish finger sandwich, for me, would be: two slices of bread, smeared with salad cream, 3 fish fingers, cut sandwich in half. Scoff.
I prefer the sound of yours, except it sounds HUGE and a real handful; I have the hands of a 10 year old for size.... in fact, I've not grown in height since I was 10 (went outwards instead).
It should definitely be eaten with a towel handy!:DIt's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Being MSE, for me at least, isn't about buying I Can't Believe It's Not Lard. It's about buying El Posh brand Lard for 50p rather than a quid.
Being MSE for me is about reducing unnecessary spend, to allow frivolous spend where it can be personally justified.
There are some things where (imo) scrimping is counter productive. For example, fairy liquid. No others come close (for me), so whilst there may be cheaper option, it isn't necessarily better value. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Had the most exasperating conversation with santandar today.
Trying to move DS2's savings account to a better rate. So I tell the CS girl that it is my son's account, pass the phone over and he gives permission for her to speak to me. But that isn't good enough and she will only speak to him. So he repeats every question she asks to me, and I give him the answer. She then decides that I am prompting him. So he explains that I set the account up so of course I have the details. But that isn't good enough - as she can hear me prompting him she can't accept what he is saying.
So I ask for her supervisor. She gives me all the reasons why she can't accept what he is repeating from me. I ask for the supervisor again.
Music on hold....
She returns to say I am allowed to speak to him, but she still needs to talk to him! So we have this three way conversation that took ages. Like having a parrot holding the phone.
Those comments by santander are a complete nonsense! Once a person has given their consent for a.n.other to speak on their behalf, be their advocate etc, then that is sufficient!
Personally I'd have made a formal complaint!I get passed the phone by my parents. Should I let them know? It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
I'm going on a few days holiday next week. Will the good weather last? Or is it about to change? It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0

Ditto! & I have to wrote letters for them regularly.
I wanted to complain, DS2 said she was only doing her job and I mustn't.
I really wanted to complain that even after her supervisor had said I could speak to my son whilst on the phone to her, she still required him to repeat everything I said.
We were asking her to repeat stuff as she had a strong scottish accent, she asked DS to repeat because we were on speaker phone. A bit of a shambolic conversation.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
