No, but I love being invited.
We are having a party on Sunday, would you like to come? No bbq but there will be zumba, face painting, stick on tattoos, water pistols and a oversize paddling pool and about 15 over-excited children....I think....0 -
The whole toilet thing puts me off but there is an enterprising company called pootopia
http://www.pootopia.co.uk/
who do posh loos so I would go to one with them set up.
I would also go for David Bowie...that's the only big name that would draw me as he has been a musical like all my life....from Ziggy when I was about 10 to now.
Maybe Madonna...but I don't think she does them.
I guess if you swim to IoW someone has to go ahead with the kit.
I would quite like to do that too one day.
Wet wipes. And not too much fibre (esp towards the end of the festival).
Near the stewards camping at Glastonbury there were always a set of 'proper loos' much like the ones you linked to (rather than portaloos). Think they flushed and everything, and they were just a bit away from the main areas so less busy.
Still pretty grim by the end of the week though.
I bet they have nicer loos in the 'glamping' areas.0 -

Ha ha ... only joking, of course.
Thanks for the invite, I LOVE being invited. But I won't be attending.0 -

I would invite you to the festival, but I'm guessing it would be close enough to your idea of hell on Earth.0 -

If I were available I would be fishing for an invitation to that party, it sounds like fun. I love water/soaking people. Seriously cannot be trusted with a hose pipe. Lucky Birthday girl, well done to the michaels as parents, that is so much nicer than carting them off to a 'centre'.
My DD is doing race for life (in memory of our friend) on Sunday, so we and friends husband will be there. DD is not a runner..and has scoliosis and dodgy joints..some hypermobile...but she signed up for 10K rather than 5K. If she ends up walking it that is fine.0 -

There are some liftshare sites... but I'm not all that used to having passengers, don't have a huge car (so prob only room for a max 2 other people + luggage), and wouldn't like to be stuck giving a wierdo a lift there and back.
My car is also pretty clean and whilst I wouldn't mind bringing my own muck in, I'm not sure about other people who've been in a field for a week.
Oh and I'm going a few days before the festival starts (stewards go early, and I have some training to do).0 -
For yesterdays BBQ took out of the freezer a pork belly joint and some M&S quarter pounder beefburgers, I also had 3 small sirloin steaks. However the chicken kebabs, lamb kebabs and sausages were enough..so the above went uncooked. I was quite happy thinking we would have them as a BBQ tomorrow. Pork belly is lovely as a BBQ meat and I cook the crackling seperately in the oven.
Only one snag, my husband has however had some serious dentistry today and will be on soft food for a few days. Tonight he had pea and ham soup, DD and I had dahl (cooked the lentils & veg but shamefully added a jar of sauce as I CBA). I will feel mean cooking crunchy and chewy meats tomorrow when he is still eating mush.
To make matters worse I also cooked a gammon joint yesterday so that we had home cooked ham for in the week. He won't be eating any of that either.
oh yum, we have some pork belly in the freezer, didn't think to stick that on the bbq. might get some out for weds.
we are going bbq nuts this year as the cobb goes in the dishwasher. bbq was never this fun.0 -

On our only trip to Glastonbury we looked to buy a camping loo of our own..some enterprisng soul was selling the s h 1 t box. Which was a cardboard box with a hole cut in it and plastic bags to 'catch' the waste. As I considered it OH pointed out it would collapse if the ground was wet.
We were saved though as OH has connections...and a connection gave us back stage passes. The highlight being trailers of clean flushing loos..including hand washing.
The longdrop loos at Glastonbury also seemed to fare better than portaloos as some 'volunteer' was on permanent hosing duty.0
