Kiwi loves it, and dog dog sulks because she doesn't get any of it. (Its special puppy food which meets a particular breed requirement).
Having just read up on the problems this particular breed has with food, I am incensed! They are delightful dogs, and kiwi is particularly lovely, but really breeding in a tendency to a life-threatening disease is just totally unfair, both to the owners and the animals.
Both the Kennel Club and pedigree breeders need to think much more about the morals of what they are doing, and breeding fundamentally healthy dogs ought to be at the top of the list of what they are aiming at.
Sorry, just give me a moment whilst I climb off my high horse. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

No, just typing to fast. So if his name was James (which its not) I typed Jamse. Would probably not be noticed, but too risky not to sort.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Breeding dogs with the condition or carriers is indeed very wrong. Kiwi was bred from clear parents and is clear himself. Part of the reason we spent so very long researching the breed and lines!
The more worrying thing are the breeds NOT facing the health issues. The kiwi is not the only one with this issue, but one of the few facing it and testing for being a carrier or not. Testing is exactly why people should be using GOOD KC breeders not cruddy ones.
Despite kiwi being clear advice is not to feed too much of the associated mineral.....some people to to lengths to ensure this. As kiwi is clear I am probably being over cautious but better safe than sorry IMO0 -

Having a proper shower would be a ruddy luxury ATM.0 -
Any progress on suing your heating engineers?Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

It's on overdrive, so it may be available as a library e-book.Thanks:T
I'd never heard of overdrive. Just checking- yes my library subscribes to it. yes it'll run on my ancient stone age pre-Intel mac. Needsa PIN though. Will over to the livbrary and speak to somebody about it.
Sorry zag, but I think your librarian should have mentioned Overdrive and for older items should discuss things such as archive.org and Project Gutenberg.
Pet peeve number 127. It isn't many people, but I don't like it when library staff don't make an effort to understand what their e-offering is. Different library authorities offer some fantastic tools online, from ebooks, to audio books, to magazines online, to free training courses, to stuff like the online Encyclopedia Britannica, or Theory Test Pro for driving tests. It does vary from county to county though.
Of course, problems like that would never happen where I work. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I had to audit one of our project team's legal services bill recently.
I could have saved myself from writing a 6 page report if I'd just taken a red pen to it with those 6 little words....:D“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Well, the only lawyer involved is keen to get to it...but wants the arbitrator to say some magic thing before getting the (prepped) papers in to court.0 -
Where should I go?
Looking for rustic, rural charm, lots of cheap (although preferably drinkable) wine and good food, and sunshine.
Somewhere in Europe.
Hoping the Nice People can pool their ideas and suggest somewhere tempting?“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
