Ah, I thought you were making little 'uns :)

Seems odd "for work" as PUP needs lashings of hot custard :)

Althought cute one portion servings of pineapple down cake would be utterly charming. They'd be big portions though, if you used pineapple ring tins. And you'd need a fair number of Tins.

Dh loves pineapple upside down cake. I only made it for him after we'd moved here, in the old kitchen, and he was amazed. He felt a bit cheated he'd missed out on thirty years or so of eating what he now considers cake of the gods.

Urgh, NO, please NO! No custard. It shouldn't need anything at all it should be moist and unctuous and custard would ruin the texture difference between the top and bottom of the cake.

Is it commonly seen as a pudding rather than a cake here?

Sorry LIR, for the first time in NP history, I have to disagree with you.

I've got a bit of a dilemma. I'm really not feeling too good, so I feel like sleeping for a few hours, however 2 of the 3 acts we're sponsoring have their first rehearsals this afternoon!

    What should I do?

We used to have it at school dinners. It wasn't ever made at home.

I have only ever eaten PUP at school dinners and a couple of works' canteens.

Yes it's a pudding.... not a cake. Lashings of custard required because [1] custard is awesome [2] it'd be a bit much on its own without something wet.

Good Generals are able to push themselves beyond the limits of endurance of mere mortals.

Great Generals are able to accept that they too are mortal and therefore fallible and thus make sure that their organisations can function without them for a few hours.

Take the break and let your no doubt capable underlings have the chance to prove themselves, they will grow from being given responsibility as well and you will perform better for looking after yourself.
    I think....

I'm driving back to the hotel in a minute!

I have no doubt that the team we have here are fully capable of looking after my reputation, it would have just been nice to see them perform. Our first isn't on until 2pm UK time, and I'm really not sure I could last that long (although I will set my phone alarm for 13.30 (Swedish time)), and if I don't wake up, then tough luck!

We have the Belarussian party tonight, so needless to say I've left the person who's taking my job for a few hours (lets call him James) my spare room key, and have lovingly told him that under no circumstances am I to oversleep, partly as I have the vodka for tonight

    I'll see you later!
