:huh::huh::huh: But fc, you look amazing too - sophisticated and beautiful, while nevertheless human and approachable. And while I agree that lir's hair is gorgeous, it wouldn't look right with your face. Your own hair, OTOH, is lovely, and goes just right with your face.

The magnolia at work is glorious ATM. :)

cheers :) Not feeling very fab at the mo....just old as the big 5 0 in 2 weeks time :o I would love to have long curly hair......I have straight bleugh hair.

..nor me but I have found the pressure (from the media in general, not OH) on extreme hair removal over the past 15 - 20 years to be hard work.
The extreme bikini wax being one. Had one Saturday + as I CBA for a few months, it was painful.

The one thing I am def going to do when I am very old is give up wearing bras and hair removal.

It's the point all those Do Up Yer 'Ouse and Make a Mint shows miss. If there was that much easy money to be made, everyone would do it.

My experience of property doing up is as yours. It is quite profitable but also hard work, capital intensive and risky.

If you can do one or some of the trades yourself, then it's like a job..sort of...the extra profit being your own wages.

The nice bit is having it exactly how you want it.

There was a journalist on the telly who did a "documentary" to see if it was possible to make money. He was followed as he bought a house and renovated it himself, then sold it. When he added up the hours he'd spent working on it, I think he worked out he'd earnt £2.50/hour.

Its quite harsh. And smelly. And hair reappears more quickly (than waxing/ epilating).

And you cannot use it every where.

I broke my epilator when we moved, I hate self waxing.

I find shaving awkward in current bathroom set up, but its quick, cheap, easy.

I am trying a new stuff boots sells to slow down hair regrowth. Tbh, becaus you use it twice a day it would be quicker to just shave daily.

    .

I thought you looked just how I hoped you would. Fabulous. I think, btw, you might be one of those women who just doesn't get old so much as more fabulous but less young.

They happen occasionally. I know a fashion woman in her, gosh, nineties now, who calls all her husbands (think this is four) johnny, (because she likes the name) and dresses with style no one half her age has yet acquired, She is awesome.

As a tradie, wouldn't you be earning less elsewhere on a £ for £ basis? I guess you still save the tax. And yes, you can have it as you want it and what's more you know whether you employed a cowboy!

I bet a lot are doing it while reducing their hours, so they can claim WTC/CTC and being paid by the Govt to paint their own house :)

Then.... they don't pay tax on the money if they move into the house as their own home either. Double/treble bubble.

What a morning! Real summer light, not spring light trying hard!

Lots of dew glistening. The birds are load enough to wake the dead.

OH calls me his insect repellent! I always get bitten and quite often require antibiotics for bites that turn nasty.

Silvercar we warmly invite you to visit, and in return for tea and cake , expect you to attract pied piper style all bitey things.
