I agree that the unexpected stuff throws things out of sync.
My grumble about DH is that while he is normally very good around the house, when we have time off he doesn't want to do anything that he considers chores. Yet these things still need doing a bit, especially if we are still at home. Drives me crazy as we make more mess if we are at home still.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. id there anyone that uses ebay and understandstheir fees please.
my husband has a quad bike witch he has just sold on ebay.
when i looked up the fees for it it said that it was only final selling price inc postage fees at 1% or minumim of £20 max £35.
and when checking the account it is saying that they are charging more than double the max for the final selling fee.
we dont understand why they are charging as much as they are when the fees page says that the final selling fee max amount would be £35???
hope this makes sense0 -

They use different fees for different items; I usually pay 10%. Looking at their own page on seller fees, as long as he listed it under "Motors: motorcycles & scooters" it quite clearly says 1% with a max of £35. The only thing I can think of is to check that he did actually list it in the right category; it's quite easy to list under something else by mistake, if you just click on "list another item". Otherwise, ask Ebay for a breakdown of the fee.Angie - GC Aug25: £374.16/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)0 -
two more frogs commenced...
I've started clearing one border in the garden of weeds and rubble. A lot of prep work needs doing before we can erect a fence. I have the attention span of a gnat so little and often is the way to go.
OH helped me to take the door off of the oven ready to deep clean it tomorrow. The shelf and oven trays are soaking in ovenpride as we speak. It is going to have the most thorough cleaning of it's life (I could tell you when it was last done  and prove myself to be a thoroughly slattern cow..Happygreen's SIL would have a field day and promptly disown me :rotfl: )
If I can get out tomorrow to get the supplies I need, plan for Wednesday is to replace the sealant in the bathroom. Work on the roof is supposed to start tomorrow, weather permitting. If it is a washout tomorrow, you can all blame me
and the reason for my sudden burst in productivity? The realisation that I have 'only' 3 weeks of holibobs left to complete my list of miracles, and a relative inviting herself to stay at the end of the month.
Note that the productivity does not apply to the big pile of school work I have to do this summer lol!know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
contacted ebay through their online chat. seems it pays to say something if your not happy. more than expected has been credited back to the account. took longer than they said it would but have just checked it and there is now a credit on the account.
it seems that it was in the wrong category, but i explained that the category it was listed under was the only category the site would allow for it to be listed under, they said if we get that same problem again in the future to contact them over it.
well going to try and get an early night tonight.
my councilor suggested during my last session that i go to a group called mind that is in town. they do courses or soemthing and there one coming up called mindfulness she suggested i consider going to, so i thought i would go and try and find out some more information on it. see how i feel when i wake up in the morning and see if i can feel up to going out.0 -
My GP says that mind is brilliant and she thoroughly recommends them. I haven't any direct experience myself.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

OK so while elder children went to the Youth Club for Summer Scheme me and 2 youngest took the trousers and coat that didn't fit back to the shop. It's been almost 2 weeks now and they were annoying me lol. I was just too lazy to do it beforehand, the thought of getting a taxi down and walking round........... ugh even now it bores me lol.
Anyhow they're gone, came back with some more bits of extra school uniform, aswell as underwear for kiddie winks.
I ended up walking on round into town, got caught in 3 downpours:mad: 2 kids thought it was great in the pram with their lovely raincover..... me I was like a drowned rat:(
Managed to pick up 2 pairs of dearer trousers and came home. Oh also managed to get DD her Frozen Lunchbox, schoolbag and water bottle, which are like gold dust to get!!
While walking back to the taxi stand came across a secondhand shop that collects from your house:T So took the number and shall arrange that for this week.
Good news is Trousers fit perfectly:T:j They may have been double the price of my usual ones but the important thing is they fit, and I don't have to worry about what I shall wear to work for the next year:eek: The only panic was I needed a jacket for work also, searched the internet and all shops in town since June and couldn't find one. Logged on to HotUkDeals tonight and low and behold there was the one I needed on sale for £4. So I have bought 4 of those:o
So panic over, I shall be dressed for work come September:rotfl:
Tomorrow I am de-hoarding 2 children back to their own house. It was lovely having them and they were no bother at all, but I can't wait to get stuck into this house and not worry about things being left sitting out incase they hurt themselves.Pay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%0 -
I finally cleared my desk - only been putting it off for months! It's not finished, but it looks so much better... every time I see it I get a little surprise!0

It's nice being able to go and look at a spot which has been cleared isn't it. Makes it worth all the effort.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

 OMG, ovens need cleaning?!
I think I was MIA when that memo went out, I have managed to spend nearly 50 years on the planet and have seldom cleaned an oven in my life. I do occasionally clean the glass oven door, a feature which will not be featuring on any other oven I ever purchase, let me tell you.
Yup, the looking at the freshy-cleared spot is a big part of the pleasure. It's something we've all done. I even do this on my allotment as I leave, pausing for a few seconds to admire what I've achieved that day. You know it won't last without maintenance, but it looks good.
I chugged away at my travel diary project a bit more yestereve and did a couple more pages. It was great as I was transported back to that day and the dolphins and the happy memories. Will do a bit more of that project today, am coming into the home stretch, as it were.
Have started to gather a small pile of Stuff which goes back to Mum's at the weekend, about half a carrier bagful, nothing epic, but it belongs there not here, so off it will go. Plus finished another book last night to add to the c.s. pile which is presently 3-books-tall.
Speaking of books, I have an errand after w*rk which will take me past the Central Library so will use the opportunity to drop back some books I have finished with. They have plenty more time left on the loans but I want them back there as they have a lot more shelf space than I do.
I've often thought that a small flat attached to the library would be this bookworm's idea of hog heaven.:pEvery increased possession loads us with a new weariness.
