Any Network offering 'free' calls abroad?

Now that O2 no longer include 0844/0845/0870 type numbers within their incluisive call package, are there ANY networks that offer a similar type of deal?

(I know T-Mobile are also ending theirs)

Basically, my O2 contracts have all come to an end (12month freebies), so looking for a couple more new contracts with any network that may allow me to keep in touch with friends around the world.

Much obliged folks.

Read some other threads about O2, as some people have been told that the Retentions teams will have some offers based on your existing tariff, and it will be interesting to hear some feedback about that.

Intuitively, maybe we wouldn't expect much off those tariffs now, or maybe it will turn out to be wrong info.

My time to talk to them again is about a year away yet

And quite a few 0870 numbers will have disappeared by then, as the revenue-sharing is supposed to end

I think Orange seems to be the only one. Though, I sincerely hope not, but I do suspect this may also be short-lived, as they might take a leaf out of O2 & TMobile's book and clamp down these numbers too.

Virgin still are, they do use T-Mobile infrastructure but nothing yet to say they will follow T-Mobiles switch to charging for these 07755, 07744 numbers.

If thats the case why do they say they charge 15p a minute to call them.

Not its not outside of their inclusive minutes, Vodafone do not include 0845/0870 numbers in their inclusive x-net minutes, they have always charged.

who cares if these poducts were around before....

fact is that for many guys who wont be able to ue 'free' calls now or from 01/06 those products that Simplyfone recommend are very good qualitty & pretty d...n cheap

Well you would say that and know full well being one of the alias,s egblinker, howie, rooney, qadri etc etc the SF Spammer uses, that the services you spam about were not introduced to cover the withdrawal of access codes from inclusive minutes. They have been in existent some time, and your just trying to make a fast buck for yourself.
