If the OP is happy with the continentals I would replace them with the same, nothing worse than putting Tyres on you are not happy with and waiting for them to wear out
Some Tyres are very noisy especially on cars with poor soundproofing

Avon's are good Tyres but are quite soft and will wear faster

Are tyres really that noisy? I'm asking because I have seen tyres now have a noise rating but I must admit I have never noticed tyres emitting any kind of sound above that of the engine revving.

Definitely. If a car is noisy full stop then you won't notice as much but on a quiet car you will definitely notice the difference

Another vote for Barum Bravuris, although my Mondeo does get through them at quite a rate. Mondeos always were hard on tyres for some reason.

Another vote for Toyo. The brand is trying to stablish itself in the UK and sells top class tyres and midrange prices. I've switched to them on both my Honda Accord and MX5 and they last well, perform extremely well and cost a lot less than comparable tyres I've tried.

What sort of mileage are you getting, and do they wear unevenly, because after putting four Bravuris on the Octavia, I have two on the front of the Mondeo. The problem with the Mondeo seems to be uneven wear on the fronts - the last set of Pirellis wore down to the belt on the inside of the tyre.
I have had the geometry done a couple of times on the Mondeo, but never on the Octavia, and the Octavia is producing very even wear patterns.

Must admit I'm not very conscientious about records, more a case of blimey they're going down quickly. Geometry was set on one of those elaborate laser jobbies, at huge expense, so should still be ok. When I bought my mk1, ex company where I worked, I was warned about high tyre wear and my current mk3 seems to be the same. Perhaps the Bravura is a bit soft, I can't claim a lot of experience of different brands, but as an all weather driver, I'm impressed by grip levels in adverse conditions, and to me that is the most important quality of any tyre.
