    Ovivo (runs on voda network).

You have to buy £15 credit when you get the sim (but you can then use this if you need more minutes than the free allowance or when you are abroad).

They also have adverts (which you can skip) every 15 minutes when you are browsing on the internet.

If you don't mind the above, the free allowance each month is great and they have good CS.

You can also buy bundles if you need more than the free allowance and if you top up regularly, the free allowance is "permanently" increased.

Yes I may have been getting confused with the 6 months expiry.

I was asking because I currently have my PAYG mobile, which I have to top up every 3 months, and broadband with O2, so I get a discount. I will be leaving O2 because of the sky takeover, so I was thinking there is no need for me to keep my mobile with them too.

    Thanks for your help

Why not call O2 retentions and get your 12m free broadband instead? Once you do, there s no need to top up your PAYG 4 times a year to get your mobile discount, as the broadband is already discounted to zero.
All you then need to do is make 1 call or text every 6 months to keep the SIM active,
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Simplicity is a good option, just comes out your account every month. Ring the network for better deals.

macman - when I called for the MAC code, they only offered me half price broadband. But I really do not want to stay with O2 now its being taken over by Sky, even though I know the takeover is not happening for a while.
