O/S Daily Wednesday 20th March This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well”

Normal tidying Jobs to do at home,
That's about It, Not much on,
I hope that you all have a great day,

Good morning everyone
Seems even colder today and the car is covered in ice again. When is Spring going to arrive?
Went shopping last night and managed to finally sort out GDD's birthday and got some great clothes bargains for her. Also bought DH a Kindle Fire for his combined birthday and Christmas gift, 6 and 9 months early respectively! Oh well, it was a great deal and he would rather have it now so he won't have anything to open in September/December.
Bin day and recycling today so did a mad dash around last night and managed to find plenty to put in both and managed a couple of ebay listings too.
Chicken thighs in the slow cooker for dinner and soup for lunch.
Better get going for work so will leave with the usual well wishes for sick people and pets and hugs for those who need or just want them. Keep well, warm and safe and have a super dayLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Morning
I'm up early today, I'm off to the Country Living Show in Islington today. I got free tickets so my Mum and I are off to look to look at things we can't afford and don't need.
Making a red Thai curry for dinner tonight out of bits from the freezer. Nice and quick and really tasty.
Hope everyone who's unwell gets better soon and that everyone has a nice day.
halight enjoy Aldi but take it easy.

Morning to all
save-a-holic the stain is tomato based i think = I took babs to MIL's house and she had jars of baby food I don't use them myself I make my own but didn't want to offend, and she was trying to make us feel welcome. (long story with OH's ex he was in an physiologically abusive relationship and she would not let him have anything to do with his parents, so I am grateful they are trying and don't want to put them off). just thought I'd better explain why I didn't refuse the food. So I am left with an orange coloured stain on a white baby grow. I will try the washing up liquid it is currently soaking in cold water in a bucket.
Need to pop out today so with get Stardrops and try the mix probably less chemicals than many branded cleaners too. i so have sensitive skin so thanks to Donny-gal for the heads up on that one.
Sorry you didn't have a good night Halight i find it really affects my mood then I loose sleep so hope your day goes OK.
Pork stew in the slow cooker today youngest son 17 (lives with his dad) is coming to stay tonight so want something I don't need to be in the kitchen to much for and we can have a good catch up. Other than that not much to do just the usual jobs make beds etc
Well hugs and best wishes to all who need them.
And again a GREAT BIG THANKS TO YOU ALL FOR MAKING ME FEEL SO WELCOME (no apologies for shouting at this point)

That's a very question,
I like most people are fed up of the cold,Damp weather!
Tomorrow is the first day of spring,
But the weather reports are not good. more cold, more rain on the way.
There has also been long range reports that say Easter could end up being very cold.
the betting shops have been taking bets on It being a white Easter!:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -
Morning all,
Bright sunny day here, although is freezing cold ! have got 2 loads of towels to do today, so will get them on the line.
I have done something to my back I can barely move, and am walking like a crab, can remember doing anything, will give it a couple of days and see how it is.
Spag bol for dinner, need to get the mince out, meant to be going out with my sis today, will have to see how I am, certainly wont be driving anywhere.
Will have a quick swish through the kitchen and leave it at that today.
Have good days all xx0 -

Morning everyone
Hugs to those that need/want them that are having a hard/sad time at the moment x
Dull, cloudy, dreich and very wet underfoot, rained really heavily during the night although it's not raining here at the moment.
DH up and off to work stupid early.
Dinner last night was omlettes, boys had theirs first as DH was late home from work, so I then cooked ours at the same time and we were able to eat together. Remembered to get the chicken out to defrost, so tonight we will be having chicken - haven't decided whether to do stuffed chicken breasts or chicken casserole/with gravy yet, but can decide later, will serve it with mash and veg.
Yesterday work was again very busy, although not quite so bad as Monday - so am expecting today to be busy - so many people need help and/or have questions. Only working until lunchtime - so will then come home and crack on with the unpaid job! Have parents eve for DS1 after school tonight - so will see what the teachers have to say about him!
Keep safe and well x

Take care of it, Back pain is never good. And you never know how much worse you are making it,
But keep active and moving. That's what they now say is best for a bad back.
