Got a new version overnight, biggest change is that Dolby Digital is now available via the HDMI cable (once enabled in settings). It has improved the sound I get via the 2.1 sound bar.

No update on the Terror Bite box in Penrhyn castle as yet.
I'll give it 24 hours then force the issue.:DThat gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Don't bother it is absolutely useless attempting a forced download at present - the forced stream is still the old software you already have. The updated software is being rolled out to DRX595/890/895 boxes in small batches so may take a while to automatically update your box.No update on the Terror Bite box in Penrhyn castle as yet.

The forced download stream is very rarely the updated software as it is intended as a "fallback" recovery version if there are problems with the automatic updated downloads.
Note also to Pace, Samsung and DRX780 users that the updates will NOT be coming to these "last version PVR4" boxes yet (the current boxes are PVR5 and higher) and it is not even known whether they are capable of running the updates.0 -

That seems to tie in with the Sky statement (linked in # 2), although the implication is they will be capable:Customers who have a Samsung or Pace or 780 Sky+HD boxes will not receive a software update until later in the year.604!0 -
Should never not have been of course but at last we have it.Dolby Digital is now available via the HDMI cable
Well, those of us that will get this update. That confuses the advice a bit then, as if hooking up AV amps isn't complicated enough!0 -
Digital over HDMI makes it easier, it's one less cable to worry about.0
