fothers - DD is nearly 2 hence needing to look for things to keep her occupied! Thanks for the offer I'll PM you in a bit!
Eb@y update:
The 2 items I was watching for DD went for more than they cost new so I was well outbid :rotfl:
Not been the best week for getting rid of stuff but we sold 2 items to genuine bidders who paid immediately - I'm in a silver lining mood! After fees we'll be over £10 up which isn't bad for things that we don't want!
SIL did beef roast which was fab and she gave us a large chunk for sandwiches this week too!
Most of the toys we looked at in their summerhouse will be fab for DD but sounds like they want to keep them there for when she goes round! Not a bad idea as they have a bigger garden and have offered to look after her quite a bit over the summer!
Better get those items ready to go to the PO in the morning!

Quick update during nap time!
Been to nearby chain garden centre which killed several birds with one stone -- Went via the PO so that's eb@y done and dusted for this week!
- DHs brother works at the garden centre so got to catch up with him and drop off his son's birthday present.
- Treated ourselves to coffee and a scone (actually just the scone as we get vouchers for the coffees!).
- While we were on our way out I noticed the big red sale signs so had a quick look and came away with 10 'old' and 5 'salad' seed potatoes. Full price they should have been £4.48 but due to the sale and my card for extra 10% off they were £2.01. They've already chitted so I just need to find our last bag of compost and they'll get planted this afternoon!
Hoping the potatoes will do better than my seeds so far this year. Nothing has come of my carrots, tomatoes, spring onions, peas or little gem lettuce so only got spinach!! Popeye would be proud!! :rotfl:
Off to go and get mucky!

Found the compost but was unable to get the potatoes planted
I did however manage to 'prune' the rhubarb again and this time I only ate one stalk! All the rest was washed, chopped, frozen and waiting for me to decide which lovely dish they will become (crumble is at number 1 as its MY favourite!)
We had a call late this afternoon which has sent DH and I into a frenzy - looks like the 'Grand Plan' may be complete by the end of the week! It is a huuuuge step for us but one that we have discussed for years and is very exciting . . . I'm looking forward to shouting about it when its complete!!

Sounds exciting :j:j:jA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Sounds very intriguing!
Our rhubarb is a bit poor- I think it sees me eyeing it up for a crumble and dedcides not to grow to much or I will chop it down.Jan 2013-£140,231.65

This is turning into a busy week!!
Trying to make more time for doing things with/for DD so went to a group yesterday for the first time in 6 months! She was a little overwhelmed by it all but hopefully if we keep going it'll build her confidence.
Today was her regular play date with her 'bestie' which is fab as they play really well alongside each other and I get to catch up with my friend too!
We have been doing lots of prep for 'The Grand Plan' and the money that was sat in our account waiting for it has gone:D Hoping that our solicitor rings us with good news in the morning!
Thanks to fothers DD now has a mini trampoline which will be great when/if the weather changes. She was very intrigued by it and did have a little go before tea with my help as she's too small to reach the handle!! Thanks fothers - hope you enjoy the rhubarb!
Weekly meal plan and shop done. I shouldn't have complained about how much it cost last week as it was even more this week  This did include lots of extra meat for the freezer that was 50% off as it was today's date so there will be a saving in the future! :rotfl:
I also bought several packets of seeds to replace the disastrous planting from earlier in the year!
Have updated MFW2013 and my signature to show the £62.25 automatic OP made after payday.
Got to sort a few things ready for what will hopefully be a very busy day tomorrow which starts with piking up my new car!

Need to let off some steam
Have spent many hours this week getting everything ready for the final stage of The Grand Plan. Monies have been moved, spoken to numerous people organising things and just generally got ourselves prepared. Thanks to one solicitor somewhere down in London who can't manage to sort one piece of paper in nearly two months it hasn't happened today!!!!! Oh and this solicitor has cost twice as much as ours who has done LOADS of work for us!! I AM SO ANGRY!! We have been planning for this and 'patiently' waiting for everything to come together since February! AND to top it all off - because the monies have been transferred we are no longer enjoying the interest (albeit minuscule)
Anyhoo on the plus side I have a nice shiny new (5 door) car sat on my drive! Was out picking it up so didn't have to watch my old beautiful little car being taken away! I loved my old car but practical it was not!!
Another plus is we get to spend the bank holiday together doing something nice as a family!! Think I'll go and find something for us to do instead of getting more and more wound up!!

Quick update after a very busy few days . . .
Solicitors got everything sorted at 5pm on Friday so too late for anything to be done but it does mean that we can go ahead on Tuesday - appointment is booked to finalise it all at 1pm!
Lots of goodies in the post yesterday- sample of coffee, Chanel mascara, Mr T clubcard vouchers (more than normal thanks to BzzAgent) and an EcoEgg (I am taking part in their new product testing).
The weather has been fab here for two days so washing has all been going on the line
Spent yesterday afternoon in dads greenhouse sorting out my seedlings that have grown and starting a whole new batch - salad leaves, tomatoes, peppers, broccoli, cucumber, carrots and also got the bargainous seed potatoes planted.
Today DH and I have started to tackle our back garden. We have plans for it and although some of it needs money (decking) we can do quite a bit ourselves. So we made a start and now ache but are rather proud of what we've achieved with transplanted aquilegia, weed control sheeting we bought a few years ago, recycled pebbles from our old front garden and recycled bricks from an old wall! DH (with DDs 'help') also stripped all of the ivy from the side of the garage ready for my clematis I found.
Our neighbour gave us leftovers from her mums 90th birthday party - coleslaw and two different tabboulehs which went very well with our pulled pork for dinner!
Hoping the weather stays good tomorrow - the forecast looks like we may stay dry til quite late on . . .Total OPs 2012 - 2019 £39744.75Target 2020 £18500/£1850001/05/2020 MORTGAGE FREEMFiT-T4 #03 MFW2019 #30 -
My brain is so full!!! I've made lists of all the things I need to do but it hasn't helped!
With everything going on it doesn't help that DD has a nasty rash. Took her to the doctor and was prescribed cream and told to use disposable nappies (even tho the rash is from her belly button to the ends of her toes and she has mouth ulcers too!). Luckily a friend gave me some of her daughters to try rather than buying an entire packet! We will be going back to the reusables tomorrow as we are not convinced they are the problem!
Going to try and get some much needed sleep!Total OPs 2012 - 2019 £39744.75Target 2020 £18500/£1850001/05/2020 MORTGAGE FREEMFiT-T4 #03 MFW2019 #30
