I just wanted to thank you for all your replies and advice.
I have chosen the 30 day rolling sim from 3 which comes with 600 mins, ultd texts and unltd internet for £18 per month.
I do have bad credit so didn't want to risk getting rejected for a 12 month sim.
Thanks again!
I have heard different timescales from different people0 -
Does anybody know how many payments for the 30 day rolling sim you have to make before you qualify for a handset?

Three do an external credit check for every new contract irrespective of how any existing contracts have been managed. I know people who have been turned down for a second line despite having a perfect payment history with them.
Best to apply and see what happens! You never know......0 -

I have heard that phone contracts have a higher acceptance rate towards the end of the month as sales targets need to be met etc, is this true?0 -

Companies that offer credit can and do change the acceptance criteria from time to time. I doubt that Three's credit vetting is easier to pass at the end if the month compared to other times. Just apply and see what happens.0
