Its the 80/20 rule basically, you have to balance out catching people who have made a keying error -v- the small number that have had insurance for longer than a license.

Another similar issue can be with people with provisional licenses, people with disabilities can start learning at 16 rather than 17 but again most websites wont accept how long you've held your license to before your 17th birthday.

I have had too long a day to work out the dates from your post but if you are talking a month or twos difference between the NCD and time held license then do mock quotes using ever so slightly altered details and change the date of passing to get the full NCD in. Once you short list the insurers that way then contact them the old fashioned way by phone to get quotes with the correct data/ dates.

If you are talking 6 months or more difference it is going to have to be the totally old fashioned way of by phone

Totally old fashioned way it looks like as test was passed Dec.2011 so difference is over 2yrs. although I have just managed to get quote from e-choice using relevant details.

Hi, just to clarify the situation......does she have written proof of the 4 year NCB that she can supply to any other insurance company?

Make sure you search the forum for reviews of your chosen insurer....

To keith 1950, yes she does have wriiten proof of her NCB as it came with renewal policy from present insurer and to rs65 I take it with your comment you are referring to e-choice in particular. I know they can be a pain and when logging into their website it is hit and miss whether it is up and running smoothly.
