Options
looking for 0% for at least a year for self-employed.

how much do I need to earn?
what proof of earnings is required? 3 months statement or more?
which cards?
do I need to be on electoral role? as I am not

I looked on money.co.uk for best cards but need help choosing which is best.

Obtaining cards whether employed or self-employed isn't really an issue but i think your biggest stumbling block will be the lack of being on the electoral roll:(

How long have you been self employed?

Most lenders dont go that indepth with things like credit card applications to actually bother asking for proof of earnings etc. If they did they may want to see 3-12 months of bank statements, letters from accountants, copies of Self Assessment returns etc

    I've been self-employed for almost 6 years.

I have been on the electoral role for over 10 years.

I've opened 3 credit cards over the past 12 months, Tesco, Santander 123 and Barclaycard, limits totalling £24k and got a 15k loan just over a year ago (fully repaid now) to help pay for a new kitchen & bathroom.

So you can get credit, but all of my applications were referred with a reply within 3 days.

I think you really need to be on the electoral role. Self employed and not on the electoral role may be seen as too risky.

I'm assuming your credit history is clean with no late payments?

OP What does your main bank say about your eligibility for a credit card?
If they say no you are going to have to go sub-prime at best.
