Orange Price Hike - something fishy with the Ts & Cs?
Comments

I may be missing something but i don't think it constitutes an actual change in t&c's though?0

My copy from 2011 refers to the long-defunct 'Centre' rather than any government agency that actually existed at the time.
Orange doesn't really exist either, is a subsidy of EE, but as EE took on the brand and all assets and liabilities they are seen as the same.
As I said I'm not sure you have much ground to stand on pursuing that line.I just called Orange and asked specifically if they sent me any details of a change in my Ts&Cs since I took out the contract (in August 2011) and they stated categorically that they have not done so.
As I said before have you checked all your bills to see if you were notified that way? They don't have to send you a separate letter it could be on a bill or with an insert with a bill if you get paper bills.
Good luck in your chase, but check you have not missed something.0 -
If you ring customer services and speak nicely to them they can change your tariff to one that avoids the price increase.0

Maybe I could, but I don't think that Orange/EE should be able to get away with unilaterally changing their terms with no indication (and I have checked the bills I've not shredded) and I'd rather not give them any more business than I have to now. Oh, and I always speak nicely!0
