I had a dream last night that I was living in Cornwall and I got charged a massive amount of roaming charges because I kept switching over to a French Network. Thank god it was a dream.

I have a Galaxy Note 2. It costs me £37pm. I used to spend more than that on my PAYG. It all depends on your usage. If you use your phone a lot then it is worth it. If not, then it def is not worth it.

I'm still waiting to wake up from mine.

I do use it a lot, i tried PAYG but it was costing me about the same per month without the internet or "free" phone.

I have just called O2, all they could offer me was £10 in "compensation".

I'm going to start looking at other networks, not happy that as a customer of so many years the most they can offer in return is £10. Although i understand they didn't even have to give me that, and it was my responsibility to check my minutes, the fact that for just £1 extra on the tariff could have saved me about £80 to me is just wrong and they should be able to give more back as a gesture of good will.

Before you cut your nose off to spite your face, most networks have done the same to others.

Be sensible. It's not personal. Loyalty is what your dog gives you. Consider all offers when your contract ends and go for the best deal.

I would certainly consider my options and compare deals, in fact I've started looking around at some deals already for another phone I'm interested in (which someone mentioned above), which is the Galaxy Note 2. O2 want £99 up front for this and £37 per month for the unlimited calls, texts and 1gb internet. However, on T-Mobile I can get the same phone free (saving £99), with unlimited calls, texts, and unlimited internet, for £36 per month. The £99 I save on the phone could go towards cancelling my current contract, which has been priced at £129 (though if I'm paying for it anyway I might as well just keep the contract, and reduce the tariff back down to the £21 without the internet bolt on, then cancel it when its finished).

Ovivo is much cheaper (unless you really need unlimited texts).

You get 150 minutes, 150 texts and 400mb free each month.

If you need 300 minutes in total, then that's a only fiver more ie £5 per month!

If you need even more minutes and texts, get a £10 bundle each month, and after 3 months of topups the free allowance goes up to 200 minutes 200 texts and 500mb. Then after another 3 months of topups the free allowance goes up still further to 250 minutes, 250 text and 600mb free. You can still top this up if you need more eg £5 per month would take this up to 400 minutes, 250 texts and 600mb free.

    Why pay more?

I am aware of Ovivo and have an Ovivo number myself, but a lot of people are wary of Ovivo because of the advertising/marketing element. That is why I did not mention it to the OP.
