Robin Park Wigan CMS parking.

Hi all
Im a newbie and a little worried so please be gentle. Basically I took my 2 kids to watch Wigan at the weekend (this Sunday) as a special treat, when I arrived at the ground I discovered I had left my wallet and not only had no money for hot dogs but also none for the approved parking, so I parked on the Retail park car park as it stated "On match days a maximum of 2hrs parking and 1 hour no return", its a free car park and I arrived at approximately 15:50 and walked over to the game. I returned to my car and found a parking ticket on my window stating I was parked outside trading hours and would have to pay the £55 within 14 days or £90 after. The parking ticket was issued at 17:10 hours which is well within the 2hr parameters, and stated 3 pictures had been taken of my car. I am panicking now as I don't want to get in any trouble with the courts or Police and I certainly don't have this amount of money spare. I have been told by a friend that they have no power to enforce the ticket and should therefore be ignored and then he pointed me to this site. Can anyone give me any advice. Thanks you so much in advance for your time.

You have 3 options
1) pay them
2) appeal and go through popla when they refuse you
3) ignore them
Don't recommend 1 obviously as they are just cowboys. 3 is okay if you want a quiet life and can handle templated letters coming through the box. Going for number is an option if you got time to appeal and learn enough about this scam.
They are in breach of the BPA code of practice as they haven't discounted enough it is supposed to bd down to £54 , which is an appeal point to poplaWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

So Number 3 is the best option then. Im a law abiding person so was quite scared that I had committed some crime.0

Dont think of getting worried over the goons at cms they pray on soft c**** to fill there grubby bank acounts up to the hilt, there scammers you may get up to 6 begging letters of the scum then they go away forever ((-:PPCs say its carpark management, BPA say its raising standards..... we all know its just about raking in the revenue. :eek:0

We are all law abiding people, but fake PCNs are just a scam:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAIcdi9niHA this clip is old but still relevant except that in England/Wales, a PPC can now aim their drivel letters at a registered keeper as well and no longer 'have' to know who was driving. And in England/Wales we have POPLA now (search the forum to read about it).
Other recent Robin Park threads you could have found, as I did, just by searching this parking forum for keywords 'Robin Park' and changing the selection to 'show posts' (not 'show threads' which is less useful)
