My friend who lives in Leicester visits the !!!!!! near there 2 times a month. She wishes customers take their trolleys back to the store or get a staff members to collect the trolleys from the various car parks in the area. There are other supermarkets in the area that collect trolleys.

The place is a mess thanks to lazy customers who can seem to push a full trolley 150 yards but can't push an empty one back. She counted about 25 trolleys in the car parks.

There is a new big store opening soon on the site of the previous Aldi.

Is there any frozen fruit / veg that is worth buying there on a regular basis that I can't get from Lidl or Aldi?

You'd need to check the prices per kg but I think Farmfoods frozen fruit and veg is excellent. Their raspberries (which I like on my porridge) are far better than Aldi where they're often all broken pieces/crumbs. I use a lot of their frozen, sliced  leeks and spinach. Mushrooms are good too for casseroles but Lidl can be better. Fruit and veg is always on offer (IIRC £4 for 5 bags). It's worth going to take advantage of the offer when you've got room in the freezer.

At the moment, they have some good baked beans for 19p a tin and tinned tomatoes at 4 for £1.

Shrink wrapped packs of Heinz soups at unbeatable prices.   6 pack Tomato or Chicken £1.99.  ( I think the individual tins are 65p). Should be in all stores as I was told by email from FF.

My local branch had Marmite at 99p for a 250ml Jar, it's short dated BBE May 2021.    Don't know if it's more widely available, although similar offers on short dated/end of line items others have mentioned on here have been available at my local branch..

The jar of Marmite I have open at the moment is BBE 2007. I think it's one of those things that doesn't ever go off. Stock up!

At less than 3.5p per egg I'd imagine the birds to be pretty neglected for the farmer to make any profit.
