Use the Trip Advisor London forum to find out much more info than the folks will probably have here.
You'll probably want Zone 1 & 2 day travel cards to zip around on the tube/buses.
There's loads of free museums, John Soane, National Gallery, British Museum to name a few again check out trip advisor for a list of activities and reviews.
Theatre tickets can be gotten for better value by visting the tkts booth in leicester square the day of the performance if you're not too picky about what you see or where you sit. It's owned by the theatres so they sell on unsold tickets sometimes at a considerably reduced rate. You can get an idea of the shows from their website here
Also see theatremonkey for a run down of the best seats within your price range if you've something in mind you want to see. With that many of you it may be best booking in advance.
Several shows do discount day tickets the day of the performance but again these are limited to around 20 tickets or so and with a large group would be near impossible to secure. There are discounts for groups though (not just school groups etc, anyone can apply) and may be an idea ringing the theatres direct for a competitive quote/best seats within price range.
See Martins post on Spamalot tickets if you all fancy dressing up and getting to the show early!!0 -
If you're in docklands, definitely go on the Emirates Airline across the Thames, it's spectacular and only costs a couple of quid on top of an oyster card/travelcard. Tate Modern and the V&A both free and amazing.0

Your nearest transport would be the Dockland Light railway at Royal Victoria which is in zone 3 for travel so and off peak daily travelcard for unlimited travel on DLR, tubes and buses for zones 1-3 would be £8 per adult, per day. I woudl use the www.tfl.gov.uk joutney planner to plan your days and trips to fit as much in as possible.
You can get an ideas of free things to do on this site and you can use a daily travelcrad to do a tour using London buses.

if you are coming into London by train you could use your train ticket to get 2for 1 entry to various attractions with vouchers from this site.

You see them advertising for audiences to go in when they record some of these Tv shows, i don't know where you'd go.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

If you go on the Emirates Airline cable car then there is a free urban exhibition centre at the Docklands side called The Crystal. The man without a signature.0 -

There is loads of free sightseeing to be done in London, provided it's not freezing. Big Ben, walk along the Thames, Trafalgar square, Buckingham palace etc. just do a Google search on cheap or free things to do in London.0

I would totally recommend getting a river roamer ticket for the Thames clippers. You can go up and down the river, getting on and off to your heart's content and see lots of landmarks in comfort. £13 or so I think but well worth it.0

There's absolutely **** all in the area around the Ramada, so check carefully the last train times to and from the area on DLR, as unless you want to spend your evenings in the bar or restaurant of the hotel ....
Your route into and from the city should be DLR to Tower Hill Gateway or Bank, then transfer to regular tube network to get elsewhere.
The Emirates airline is good fun, and connects with North Greenwich tube near the O2, which connects with the centre of town.
Are you arriving at City Airport, or other transport hub?0 -

I'd suggest going down river to Greenwich. Fabulous buildings and walk up through the park to the Greenwich Meridian.
These

might be worth doing. I've done the City one and it's great on a Sunday as the area's very quiet then.0
