Well if you are going downstream to Greenwich don't forget to travel on the Woolwich ferry. It's free, joining North Woolwich to Woolwich & get back by the underground tunnel under the Thames. While in Woolwich visit the Greenwich heritage museum & watch some films about the Woolwich arsenal - all free.
That should make your weekend :j

I would totally recommend getting a river roamer ticket for the Thames clippers. You can go up and down the river, getting on and off to your heart's content and see lots of landmarks in comfort. £13 or so I think but well worth it.

or get two for the price of one with valid train tickets

I second this - the Thames Clipper is amazing! You can get on/off at the O2 and at Greenwich (great for shopping and for either walking past the Cutty Sark or even paying to go on it). The Thames Clipper stops at various points - just check the timetable for your return as they sometimes don't stop everywhere as the day goes on.

A trip on the docklands light railway is great too - you can get off at a stop I forget the name of right now (!) which is opposite side of the river to Greenwich and walk for Free through the tunnel underneath the Thames to Greenwich - that is fun (though I'm always a bit scared of the condensation dripping from the roof and my imagination goes wild - but it just makes me jog or run a bit. I suggest google it or look on Trip Advisor.

There is loads of free sightseeing to be done in London, provided it's not freezing. Big Ben, walk along the Thames, Trafalgar square, Buckingham palace etc. just do a Google search on cheap or free things to do in London.

I think you are also saying the same thing what I said before? Just do search and find cheap tickets or any thing at cheap cost , country is not a matter when you are going for world wide search.
    Just in time tickets.

I'd suggest going down river to Greenwich. Fabulous buildings and walk up through the park to the Greenwich Meridian.

    These

might be worth doing. I've done the City one and it's great on a Sunday as the area's very quiet then.

Brilliant thanks - Did the Ripper walk and the Thames pubs walk - well a couple LOL - the two we went to were so great didn't want to leave - beer Garden in Captain Kidd was great! and only £27 for two pints and 2 roast dinners - we had had a drink before left but came straight back!! LOL
ACII and Chartered so now I can focus on learning to play my beautiful Sax. 🎷
