By the way, I really don't recommend anybody ever be top in a competition game ever again. I've been clicking cars almost all day long since Monday. (edit- last monday/whichever day the game launched)
The kind of personal abuse I've received as private messages from complete strangers on Facebook, and the more "generalised" accusations and abuse on the game's page itself...
One of the guys looks like an MSE'r too;
"Lewis MSE: Think citreon should just disqualify you for being a !!!!!!."
I think I'm going to stop taking part in game-based competitions ever again, and just stick to the standard multiple-choice send in your details ones.
Been a pretty horrible experience this last 24+ hours, since hitting top of the leaderboard.0 -
I wouldnt worry about them, maybe have a break for a day or two, ive been collecting for days and i havent even got a million yet lol its not guaranteed to win the car anyway is it?:staradmin Competition wins! :starmod:

No, it's no guarantee at all
If I'd anticipated this I'd have stopped playing yesterday and just stayed at rank 2, nobody bothered me anywhere else in the tables!
All the points mean are extra entries - and as anyone on here knows, that's NEVER a guarantee. People like me only enter comps once (even "dailies" - I only enter once) - and can win just as easily as somebody that enters every day for a month! Or the ITV comps - I only have one phone number so only 3/6 entries to them... I don't mind! I still have a chance to win, even over somebody that has five different phone numbers!
I think I need to take a break from the game and stop looking at the Citroen UK page for a couple of days though. And not look at any of my Facebook inbox "other" messages :P0 -
Same! I'm addicted. I've gone from 179th on the leaderboard to 69 by just clicking my way round googlemaps. I've got a stinker of a cold so I'm feeling pretty rough and I am finding this game quite therapeuticI wouldnt worry about them, maybe have a break for a day or two, ive been collecting for days and i havent even got a million yet lol its not guaranteed to win the car anyway is it?
I keep telling myself just 10 more cars then I'll log off... (that was about 100 cars ago)! :rotfl: :T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j0 -
The whole reason I posted on Citroens wall was right and why people send you PM's I don't know thats just sad. I kept checking if I was moving and suddenly you was in front by 2 million on the person in first. Anyone who plays the game, who can see how quickly its possible to find cars can see that is not right and as I suspected it is because you have used the game app incorrectly. I hope Citroen follows up on this and I don't think they should ban you but at least give you half of the points as what they should have been as you have an unfair advantage over the others, mainly those in the top 10 who have obviously spent a lot longer than you to get there0

Use a mobile - and use "GPS Route Simulator" on your Android phone. You don't ACTUALLY have to go visit those places, and if you put in a nice complicated route, your phone will tour around the country for you while you click :P And also google the census data to find the most densely populated places in the UK, I am working my way through that list!
Oh, and spend all bloody day tapping to the point you think either your phone's screen, or your finger, will break
How lovely :P
I don't quite understand, is GPS Route Simulator a route planner on the phone, a bit like TomTom app, you set a route and run through the demo of the route, and the Citron app on Facebook thinks your driving to those destinations? If so I wonder if this would work with TomTom app or other route planner on iPhonePosting is a privilege, not a right. This is a privately-owned site. Posting is a privilege, not a right. From Citroen's FB timelineCITROËN SEEKERS UPDATE:
After some further investigation, it appears that a couple of players have not been playing Citroën Seekers in line with the terms and conditions of the game. Therefore, the mobile points that have been earned without physically being in that location have been replaced by standard collection scores. Any players found to be playing in this way going forward will automatically be disqualified from the game. As a gentle reminder, the game is supposed to be for fun with the chance to win a New Citroën DS3 Cabrio. Happy Seeking!0 -
Just about to throw my lap top through the window. Is anyone else getting the problem of the street map not working after collecting about three cars. The map just freezes and does nothing.

Mines working fine, I've noticed a couple of new people just appear in the top 5 really quickly other than Azzer so I have to wonder how many other people are cheating, it doesn't look like Citroen can tell unless its pointed out which is frustrating for people who have genuinely put in a lot of hours just to stand a chance of winning the car.
I don't think they should have the mobile app next year so everyone has the same chance.Best wins so far

I just think it will be a hoot if the car goes to someone with the minimum points required.0
