Thankyou Sidshane, there is a Citroen garage not far from me at all so I will pop up there tommorow as in bed under the weather today. I have found a few cars hunting around the country, but likewise the most I have found is 500 pointers, some people are massively in the lead - Im assuming they have probably already been to garages via their mobile.
Can I ask how many points did you win with Sidshane? Im assuming its not the person who is in first place who wins, but just that they will have the most entries in the draw.

What is the best way to rack up points in this? Last time I went to an area and drove(virtually) around mainly trying to get the yellows but picking up any 100 pointers on the way, plus all the portals and gold cars when they are released, and ended up with about 600k points. Granted, I didn't spend all day playing it but while playing just now, I noticed the people at the top of the leaderboard were getting points at least twice the speed that I was. I also change areas when not many cars to collect, but is it quicker to type in addresses rather that using streetview to navigate?
Any tips from fellow MSE'ers appreciated :money:

I ended up with over 5.6 million points, there are only 100 and 500 point cars on the map, unless a ReealDS3 (go to dealer and zap with phone) or gold ones which they give out on specific days, best places to visit are brighton, leeds birmingham, bristol, cardiff edinburgh glasgow and london and manchester google a list for street names for a city. trying looking up a street map for an area and start with the Bs is amazing how many you will find, and for London go through the list of named tube stations

Wow 5.6 mil O.O

I got near 400k lol xD some days I played it for many hours but then missed other days. Got all gold cars and portals hinted on their page.

I don't have a smartphone so cant do real ones at dealers

People already got near a million points already today. I guess I'm abit behind lol.

Just bear in mind the winner previous to me, had only collected gold cars (a different game set up but similar) so really is down to the luck of the draw, so a few thousand points is worth collecting just to get into the draw

I was just wondering if it's random or if the leaderboard position matters...

I was just saying to someone, that in the 3 comps they have done so far, mine was the only one where someone in the top ten won, others were a lot lower scores, my guess this time it will be someone with a lower score, as if someone wins from top ten again, it will put people off from entering in future comps as people will think 'why bother' as have no chance to catch the leaders. So I would enter what you can get a fair amount of points in but dont try and chase the leaders as I think you will have a better chance of winning this time if a lower score x
