Trip Advisor are a good place to look for the good, the bad and the ugly, do a search on 'blackpool hotels' and sort by popularity

Look out for single room supplements for anything other than single rooms with it being busy still with the Illuminations.

    Loads of choices here

HOrnby road seems to have a lot of hotels.... Hotel California LOL!

If you want to be close to town/central Pier/tower then I would recommend Palatine Rd, Reads Avenue or Hornby Road. They run parallel to each other. The Fylde Hotel on Palatine is nice, but there are loads to choose from. We used to advertise on Laterooms but they do charge a commision to hoteliers so it might be worth checking laterooms and then ringing the hotel direct and asking for a further discount as they won't be paying laterooms commission (bit cheeky I know but this is MSE ;) )

For those who were planning to fly from Southampton - Jetstream have pulled out of Blackpool, and we no longer have a Stanstead flight either.

Hotels - try around Albert Road for reasonable prices (just at the back of the Winter Gardens) - Hornby / Palatine / Reads are long roads that are a little further out of town.

Self catering - Pontins have a site near Squires Gate - the bottom end of the tram tracks, there are also buses that run to the Pontins camp. This is at the end of the airport runway tho!

Don't forget your bathers for the Sandcastle, and you MUST try the new ride at the Pleasure Beach - http://www.blackpoolpleasurebeach.com/ride.php?id=114&rideType=1 - if you like that sort of thing!

It looks amazing! I love rollercoasters. I'm not too good with heights though so I'm not keen on the ones that keep you high up for ages - would much rather be plummeting back down to earth as fast as possible! :rotfl:

Can we decide as a group where we'll stay, it'll be loads better if we're in the same hotel. And Sar, I used to be a seial killer but it played havoc with my nails so I gave it up... for now MWAHAHAHAHAHA
