HELP - enable THREE SIM cards for use on s700i

If i'm not mistaken it's not possible to do this. I can't remember the exact reason why, but if i'm not mistaken 3 have gone specifically out of their way to ensure that people don't use sim cards in handsets which are non-3G. Can anyone else save 8383? Sorry mate.

When I put in the sim card it says "Please insert Sim Card".
I phoned three and they said I would need to unlock the phone, but it should be.....0 -
fair point, i see where you are coming from. your original provider should be able to unlock it for you, but in alot of cases you would be looking to pay. I can't guarantee that it would work from my personal experience... maybe browntoa/drahcir can help me out here....!!![fonefather] - If you would like free independent advice about phones feel free to message me. :j0

as FF said it wont work, if it did work they 3 would catch on and either warn you or turn the sim off, as they dont want people using non 3 phones.
however in saying this 3 sim work in 3220.....or so im told

Three do go out of their way to prevent people "roaming" on 2G which is what happens when you put a 3 sim in a GSM phone. It costs them money to have you as a customer using O2's network for your calls instead of on their own 3G network.
Some people have had their contracts cancelled for using 3 Sims in GSM phones, whereas others have had new USIMs sent which didn't work in GSM phones.0 -
but the sony ericsson is a 3g phone.....
My sim card is a USIM i think.....
I am looking at a Nokia 6630 on ebay which is locked to three. Would it work with my sim card then?0 -
Thank-you! Its all come together no! lol0
