I have been an orange customer for 15 yrs and moved address 5 years ago. Since then by Orange reception has been poorer than previously but good enough to continue being a customer.
Mid December I upgraded to an S3 lte and since then my reception has been atrocious. No signal at home, calls dropping, not even able to receive texts on some days. I have reported the problem and been told that as this is only a problem I experience at home, the phone works, there is reception in my area (according to them) and there is nothing they will offer or suggest to redeem the situation.
I am aware of the sales of goods act, is the contract covered under the act? What are my rights?
TIA.

does it work outside, if so no grounds but try your sim in another phone as a lot of different strengh aerialsDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Just to let anyone else know...after continuously ringing Orange and eventually being 'allowed' to speak with a Manager I was able to terminate my contract.
My argument was that it was 'unreasonable' that I had no service at my home address and therefore in breach of the sales of goods act.
Worth noting for anyone else with similar reception issues.0 -

Think you'll find you just got lucky. Their t&c's clearly state they can not guarantee service, particularly indoors. I am pleased that you have a resolution but I think you're the exception, not the rule.0 -
Did they confirm they will not be applying etfDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
