Good news for you :) I suspect though that they've paid it already and euro won't give them the money back lol , they know that their terms do not cover this bloody nose and they'll know that they won't stand a chance in a small claims.

Excellent news. I suspect from their extremely rapid decision to refund you in full that yours is not the first case to be raised. The error of their ways has already been brought to their attention and they know that they were in the wrong.
  • Its funny because the girl i spoke with at lex autolease was the one that raised my £70 invoice and she was the one that sent email. HA.

I am going to forward all my info on to local newspaper, its such a grey area and not everyone including these companies have a clue about legislstion when it comes to private parking tickets and lease companies.

Good on you, I think the newspaper angle is a good one :)

    Hi everyone.

quick question again relating to ECP. I parked in the vue car park in Hamilton today, however instead of parking in marked bay I parked on the pavement as there was a rather big queue of cars waiting to move round the car park and also because I had just put my back into spasm and was desperate to get pain medication. On returning to the car I noticed the fine, and when I returned home contacted the company who advise to appeal online.
I did this, however I just realised I have now given them my address.
Some advice please as to where I stand. I have read that these are and just to ignore it, would that still apply to myself.

    thanks

You do need to start a new thread as individual cases can be somewhat different and joining an older, existing thread - especially an ancient one - risks having conflicting and confusing messages relating to multiple cases.

You will get good advice on here, so just copy and paste your post into a brand new thread.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
