Hi. I really need some advice. After reading all the great threads about private car park fines i choose too ignore my fine, however my car is a private lease and received my first fine for £12 is there any way to get round this.
I actually appealed to euro car parks so they had my address although they dont know or can prove it was myself driving. It was a family day out at the vue cinema in hamilton and there was 3 cars in total each got £70 fine for oversaying 40 minutes. Totallt unjustified, my brother received notice to pay yeseday (with the threat of debt collector being informed) :(and i just hope that they send mine to my home addres rather than lease company.

As you are in Scotland, totally ignore them, it's highly unlikely to go any further than junk mail. Make sure all three of you do the same. And it's good you appealed to get the lease company out of the loop on this. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Was this £12 "Fine " from the lease company?0

Sounds to me that the £12 is an 'admin charge' imposed by the lease co. It may be the case that it's in their T & Cs that they can do this for genuine speeding and parking tickets issued by either the police or an LA. What they don't account for is privately issued 'charge notices' which have no lawful authority. So the lease co have no reason or grounds to make their 'admin' charge.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0

Thank you so much for the replies. I am going to phone lease company today and ask them about t&c and see if i can get £12 refund.just hope euro car park dont revert back to sending letters to lease company that would get tricky.0

They are lying. See if you can get them to confirm that to you in writing.
You want to see their full Ts & Cs. Then let us know what it says in relation to Parking tickets and admin fees.Je Suis Cecil.0 -

This is utter rubbish - The legal status of private tickets has not changed one bit!0 -

You have not commited any parking offences.
You need to complain to the lease company to get your money back.
If they have paid the PPC £70 then that is their problem, not yours, they should know better!0
