It says select you dont want insurance from the drop-down menu but there isn't a drop-down menu! I went fwd thinking it must be on last page but it's not. Tried again from scratch and it won't let me proceed it thinks I am booking 2 ppl with identical names!

I reloaded Chrome and checked everywhere for the drop down menu. The passenger details were not displayed. After reading many comments from others on MSE I tried booking using Internet Explorer instead of Chrome. The drop downs were there and refusing insurance was straightforward.
Why they were not displayed on Chrome is a mystery. From the comments of others I am not alone.0 -

Strange because I use Chrome to book with no problems, indeed I just did.0 -
I think the chrome on a tablet may be different from chrome for windows.
My kindle fire hd Silk browser is hopeless for most flight booking sites.0 -
Just had this problem with Chrome too and had to start again in Firefox. Very annoying. Hadn't realised they'd charged me for insurance until I'd nearly finished checking out as, with no box to un-check, I assumed they hadn't added it on.
Bit poor that this problem seems to have gone on several months without being fixed...0 -
If you make a mistake and book it, it's easy enough to get them to refund it within the first few days so not all lost.0

I had exactly the same problem today, mystified by lack of this box. Emailed friends, checked this forum, back-paged to try to find the 'country' box & couldn't get it second time round, so just started again from scratch. It is a nuisance, but you got to suffer a bit to go so cheap.0

I use a chromebook, and have never had problems booking with ryanair.
Under the section named "Buy Your Travel Insurance" is each of the passengers names (as entered in the first section on the same page "Passenger Details"). Next to each name is a drop down box which is initially says "Please select a country of residence". The last option at the bottom of this list after all the countries is "Travel without insure". Select that for each passenger to turn off travel insurance.
When you progress to the next page, you'll get a pop up asking whether you're sure you don't want travel insurance - hit the "No thanks" button.0 -
Contrary to IC above - the website does have a problem. All I know is there is NO drop down menu when I went through on Firefox. I then did the booking again on Internet Explorer and the dropdown box for "I do not require travel insurance" was there. Its highly irritating but you just have to go through another browser if you're having a problem with this. Ryanair website has something new and irritating on it every few months it seems. I also noticed they are now putting adverts before you can obtain the special characters needed for a booking. I have to use Ryanair flights as my family live in a part of France that is hard to get to by any other means of transport. I NEVER use them for any other flights and never will. I suggest everyone else does the same.0
