Unlocking iPhone 4 through Orange

Anyone had any experience with the above?

Called Orange yesterday to request them to unlock my iPhone 4, they said £20.00 and can take up to 20 days.

I've removed my SIM already and using it in a different phone, would this make any difference? :/
