Mobile Broadband for Laptop

Hi,

The cricket club I play for have just bought a laptop for club use and would like to use the internet on it to send results to leagues and also to view e mails.

We have no telephone line at the club so we are thinking of buying a dongle and using that to connect to the internet.

I am looking for some help on best deals that would suit our use.

We will only be using it 3/4 times a week for about 10mins at a time to send result sheets and to view e mail and download attachments from e mails.

We would only be using the internet from May till end of September so would prefer not to go into a contact.

I hope people are able to help

Thanks

PAYG USB dongle is the way to go. 3UK is the cheapest, but check coverage first. £55 is the max you should pay, plus a £10 top up.

12 months of mobile internet(500 MB of data and unlimited browsing) £23.09 USB modem £9.99
Another USB modem option here, but the ludicrous delivery time makes it likely unsuitable.

Common sense and a read of the blurb would indicate that the modem and the SIM were matched. ;)

Let me see - 3Gb from T-Mobile, or 12GB from 3UK. - yep still a hefty price to pay for the EE option.

    ovivomobile.com and an unlocked dongle
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

What on earth are you going on about?

You have clearly misunderstood. Read the previous posts again.

The cheapest mobile internet option I know is Samba Mobile. Maximum price for the SIM is £5 ( I got mine through MSE for £1) then all my internet is free. I just stick my SIM into an unlocked smart phone and either tether or use the phone as a WIFI signal.
