I think unless they sort themselves out pretty quickly my days of shopping at Iceland are coming to an end. I went in on Friday and it was a complete nightmare, a mixture of prices, some 50p £1 etc others at the usual £1.49, £1.99. I couldn't get half of my usual supplies and was lucky to make it over the £25 limit as they certainly weren't offering £20 delivery at my local store.
And to top it all off, they didn't have enough staff in and all the shopping that people had bought and left for home delivery was sitting in the window in full sun, thawing out rapidly. Mine was left there for at least 15 mins as I was stood outside the shop waiting for a friend to come out and there were three trolleyloads that had been stood there since before I went through the checkout.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

After the original post I checked the local store which had HUGE posters plastered over the windows proclaiming the sale. Apart from one freezer with a handful of 50p and £1 items (mostly in badly damaged packaging) they had absolutely nothing on sale. Every freezer had its own huge red SALE!!! banner but the contents were the usual prices!
I thought perhaps the bargain hunters and staff had stripped the shelves of super bargains but days turned into weeks and the sale posters remained, but there was no sale.
It's no hardship for me to pop in now and again, I have to walk past Iceland to get to Sainsbury'sbut the staff must think I'm some kind of loony because I keep going in there and walking out empty handed!
Still, nil desperandum and if there's a second wave of sale bargains on offer I might try again.0 -
I thought it was only me that did the walking oiut empty handed trick.
My local Iceland is exactly the same-loads of banners and flashes but nothing(well, very little) actually at a reduced price.
having said that I will check again today -its becoming a bit of a hobby now ..."I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something."0 -
At my local iceland all fanta, sprite and lilt etc (low sugar ones too) are BOGOF @ £1.49. The other supermarkets are selling them 2 for £2.00 or 3 for £3.00.0
