Yes it almost makes me want to invest in a shopping trolly!!!!

Having never shopped in Iceland up until last Saturday, but having visited a few this week,I have come to the conclusion that they are always as far away from the car park as possible.

They are very quiet shops,so I cannot imagine why they are stopping the home shopping as the staff will have even less to do!!!!

Money Saving corporate style. The staff wage budget has now been cut also thus quieter shops means less wages means bigger profit means poorer customer service means unhappy staff.

We are still doing home deliveries from the store - and believe me - I WISH, I had less to do. Stopping the home deliveries means that more people have to come to the shops to get it delivered. It has been getting busier at our shop and I can only see this increasing even more in a couple of days.

I am glad to hear that both of you will still be keeping your jobs, you have both been very helpful and informative with the thread.

I suppose one person will be redeployed doing deliveries in the van that used to work in the shop.

Crest Classic spin toothbrushes (batter operated ones with a circular head which spins on end of normal rectangular head ) just stacking shelfs this am
bargin price of £1.00 - make excellant xmas pressies (ok so I buy wierd pressies, I admit it )

scissors priced at £1.00 at till 50p,
corkscrew multi lever type - 25p

Overheard staff say that not all prices on shelves where correct, many where lower, so they needed to check stock price as they refilled shelves. (I dont think they can keep up to be honest )
Thanks to everyone who posts comps :T
