With the first - a one off not bother with a condom despite being told getting pregnant was a million to one chance after lots of operations to try to keep endometriosis under control.
With the second - 3 years, lots of operations and fertility treatment.
With the last - Goodness knows but I was on the contraceptive injection, my periods had not returned after number 2 and I was breastfeeding!

Number 3 was rather determined to be here I think :rotfl:
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

I became pregnant within the first month on 3 occassions. I was in my 30s at the time with each (first lost in pregnancy, 2 children). After the birth of youngest when I was 36.5 I became more irregular, so would have taken longer I believe.

4 months for the first, 1 month for the second (only one period between having the implant removed and getting pregnant). The average is meant to be 3 months for people with normal fertility who have plenty of sex.

My first took 2.5 years and we had gone through some investigations and treatment around the 2 year point.

When our son was 18 months I fell pregnant a month after we started trying for our second child but then miscarried at 8 weeks.

We tried again about 6 months later and it happened within a couple of months. Carried that baby to term without any problems.

On each occasion when I fell pregnant we tried out an old wives tale of me drinking a small glass of grapefruit juice each morning through my cycle and my husband drank a glass of tomato juice. It is meant to help and worked for us. Best of luck OP.
The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.
  • First time a split condom, he's nearly fifteen now and knows he was an accident. (Not a mistake, just explaining to him how no contraception is 100%).

Second time I was using Persona and did it on a red day before checking the monitor.

To the OP, if you aren't using contraception then you are trying.
Third time I was actively trying and it happened first month.

I've got pregnant 1st time for 4 pregnancies. I see that as bad luck, lol! I do count my blessings though, as wouldn't like it the other way round, doing tests every month and being disappointed.

Just reread your post and you were probably quite fertile on the last two times. Because each of my pregnancies have kind of been planned, I follow when I'm fertile and either chose whether we want to extend the family or not!

First time within first month did put legs in the air after dtd lol

But it is proven if you stress and worry it is less likely to happen so enjoy :)

I fell first month but miscarried, now eighteen months and still trying but it's different for me as I have PCOS

If you look at the first page of the ttc thread you'll see a list of when ladies on there got pregnant and how long they were trying.

It's completely normal for a healthy couple to take up to twelve months and everyone can tell you how long it took them but your journey will be unique to you and your partner

1st, came off pill mid pack, had a bleed when expected then pregnant straight after (so 4 weeks)
2nd, came off pill at end of pack, pregnant straight away (so 2 weeks)
3rd, came off pill at end of pack, pregnant straight away (so 2 weeks)
4th, didn't try - was on the pill but had coeliacs which doctors hadn't given me the test results till I was 15 weeks pregnant - it stopped my body absorping the pill
